UCI MTB World Cup Marathon Gran Canaria
The course has been finalised for the Mountain Bike World Cup, which takes place on 17th March 2007.
The UCI technical delegate and professional former Swiss pro rider Beat Wabel, has defined, after his inspection visit to Gran Canaria on 18th and 19th December last, his technical report of the course. The first part of the route along the coast will be very fast, with many climbs and rocky descents, while the second part going inland, which will have a very long ascent up to 650m. To compensate there is the wonderful landscape, where the cyclists will enjoy the views and good climate, that the island offers.
